Dr. Sanjiv Hansraj

Dr. Sanjiv Hansraj is the medical director of Mansarovar Eye Hospital. His area of expertise is medical and surgical retina & uveitis and ocular ultrasound. He is also renowned for performing premium and complex cataract surgeries including cataract surgery in children.

He has over 3 decades of experience in treating conditions such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, vitreous hemorrhage, age related macular degeneration, serious ocular injuries of various types as well as severe sight threatening infections such as endophthalmitis and ocular tuberculosis.

Dr Sanjiv completed his MBBS from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana and did post-graduation [MS] from King George Medical University, Lucknow. He underwent further super speciality training in vitreo-retinal diseases at the renowned Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, under the mentorship of the late Padma Vibhushan Dr. SS Badrinath considered the father of modern retina surgery in India. He has also done short term training at various retina surgery centres of excellence in Gemany & Belgium.

Dr Sanjiv is an avid sportsman and loves hiking & trekking in the mountains, playing tennis, swimming and cycling.
